To champion carbon removal solutions through science and innovation. Carbontech Labs will partner with Texas Innovates to further the carbontech sector. Carbontech Labs provides customer discovery and entrepreneurial development programming. Texas Innovates will serve as a prototyping and test site for carbontech startups as they move from lab-to-market. Texas Innovates will also be a convening focal point for the Houston-area corporate community as they engage with these startups level of experience and competences.

GEM is a volunteer organization that mentors early-stage energy related start-ups at no cost to the start-up to help turn their ideas into a successful business.

The focus for GEM mentoring is to prepare early-stage start-up companies to successfully pitch to Angel or seed round investors.

For an applicant to be considered for the GEM program, the technology they are developing must be in one or more of the areas shown in the chart below.  The technology under development may be a process, equipment or software.
